SUBJECT: COVID-19 Weekly Update

DATE: December 8, 2020
Please see below for the COVID-19 weekly tip and on-campus case update.

#1: Members of the Gustavus community are encouraged to continue using the College’s self-reporting form if they receive a positive test result, experience symptoms, or have a confirmed exposure even if they are not on campus. Filling out this form will connect you with Gustavus resources to help manage your quarantine or isolation wherever you are.

#2: One more mass testing event will be held before the end of fall semester. The event on Thursday, December 10, will be open to remaining on-campus students, off-campus students residing in Saint Peter, and College employees. Students who are no longer on campus and employees who work 100-percent remotely should not travel to campus for mass testing. With COVID-19 cases in Minnesota still at a high level, this event is to provide a convenient location for testing and to help support planning for students who will be leaving campus after the final exam period.
As of December 7, 2020
Total Positive Cases (since August 15): 195

Current Positive Student Cases: 3
Current Positive Employee Cases: 2
Total Students in Isolation/Quarantine: 12
Students in Isolation/Quarantine On Campus: 8
Employees in Isolation/Quarantine: 9
This data set is meant to encompass the on-campus impact of COVID-19 by counting cases where a person may have been on campus while infectious. For example, students who are living at home or employees who are working remotely and not visiting campus will not be counted in these on-campus numbers. This information is also available for viewing on the College’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
As always, if you have any questions, please consult the College’s COVID-19 website and email
