COVID-19 Weekly Update: December 1, 2020

TO: The Gustavus Community

FROM: COVID-19 Response Leadership Team

SUBJECT: COVID-19 Weekly Update

DATE: December 1, 2020

Please see below for the COVID-19 weekly tip and on-campus case update.

WEEKLY TIP

#1: With the transition to online course delivery and fewer students and faculty on campus, Building Services hours and operations in academic buildings have been adjusted slightly.

Classrooms will be cleaned and have green/red flippable signage on the doors. Green: room has been cleaned and ready for use. Red: room needs to be cleaned. (Instructions will be on the signs to turn over if the classroom gets used).

Restrooms: Some bathrooms in academic buildings will be closed. Please read and follow signage for open, clean restrooms. Each open restroom will be cleaned daily and all others will remain closed.

Reminders: Remember that each office should take out their own trash, recycling, and compost to common collection areas.

If an area needs to be cleaned and/or needs trash removed, please fill out the service request form on the Physical Plant home page.

#2: Two more mass testing events will be held before the end of fall semester. These events, held on Thursday, December 3 and Thursday, December 10, will be open to remaining on-campus students, off-campus students residing in Saint Peter, and College employees. Students who are no longer on campus and employees who work 100-percent remotely should not travel to campus for mass testing. With COVID-19 cases in Minnesota still at a high level, these new testing events are to provide a convenient location for testing and to help support planning for students who will be leaving campus after the final exam period.

This information is also available for viewing on the College’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
