Please see below for the COVID-19 weekly tip and on-campus case update.

WEEKLY TIP
Free, on-campus COVID-19 testing is available to all Gustavus students, faculty, and staff through the Gustavus Health Service. Testing costs will be billed to your insurance, and any testing cost not covered will be paid by the College. Testing is available to those with symptoms as well as asymptomatic individuals who may have been exposed. If you have any concerns about possibly being exposed or have any symptoms, you are encouraged to get tested.

Testing at the Gustavus Health Service is safe, secure, and available Monday through Friday with results being received seven days per week. The College has created a separate respiratory clinic in the Health Service, and is also conducting testing outdoors as weather allows. These additional measures help ensure that it is safe to get tested and to visit the Health Service for routine care or other reasons.

The test Gustavus uses consists of swabbing the inside of both nostrils. Contrary to some reports, it does not “basically touch your brain.” The test takes less than a minute total and results are available in 48-72 hours.

To schedule an appointment or discuss whether you should be tested, students, faculty, and staff should call Gustavus Health Service at 507-933-7630.
