SUBJECT: COVID-19 Weekly Update

DATE: April 21, 2021

WEEKLY TIP

Due to the recent rise in cases in Minnesota and on campus, and because it is believed that the majority of these cases are the more contagious variant of COVID-19, the College will continue with the current COVID policy related to food.

This means that food at gatherings may be offered as a grab and go option where people eat the food away from the event or gathering. No food may be served or consumed at College events or official gatherings happening on or off campus. This applies to events and gatherings taking place both inside and outside. If you have questions about the College’s COVID-19 food or gathering policy, please email g-covidresponse@gustavus.edu.

Current Positive Student Cases: 3
Current Positive Employee Cases: 0

This data set is meant to encompass the on-campus impact of COVID-19 by counting cases where a person may have been on campus while infectious. For example, students who are living at home or employees who are working remotely and not visiting campus will not be counted in these on-campus numbers. This information is also available for viewing on the College’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

As always, if you have any questions, please consult the College’s COVID-19 website and email g-covidresponse@gustavus.edu.
