SUBJECT: New COVID-19 Boosters now available on campus

Gustavus Health Service is now offering the new COVID-19 bivalent vaccine to any current student or employee. This is a booster combining the original vaccine and a vaccine targeted to the omicron variant.  

Everyone over age 12 is eligible for this booster. You must be 2 months past your most recent COVID vaccine dose and not have any symptoms of COVID the day you receive the vaccine.  

Please see the self scheduling instructions below to schedule an appointment.  

Registration Link: Gustavus Health Portal

  • Sign in with your Gustavus username and password
  • Go to “Appt Scheduling” and choose “Schedule Appt”
  • Select a Date (available dates are: 9/16, 9/22, 9/23, 9/28, 9/29, 9/30, 10/6 and 10/7)
  • Select “COVID-19 Vaccine” for the Reason for Appointment
  • Click Search
  • Choose the time that works best for you

The COVID-19 bivalent vaccine will also be available at the Flu Shot Clinic on October 10 and 11.  Please watch for future communications as we get closer to the Flu Shot Clinic dates. 

COVID Reminders

  • If you test positive for COVID follow the guidance on the COVID-19 website.
  • Face Masks – The Campus Center Information Desk offers free KN95 masks.
  • COVID-19 Testing – A rapid molecular NAAT test (similar accuracy to a PCR test with results in 20 minutes) is available in Gustavus Health Service.
  • Rapid antigen tests are for sale in The Book Mark.
  • The COVID-19 dashboard is reporting weekly positive cases diagnosed in the Gustavus Health Service.
